Winter Events at the Hawthorne

With Winter almost over,  we are fortunate that the past few months have been fairly mild to us. It surely  gave the Hawthorne team a lot of renewed energy to come up with new events and ideas that would be welcomed by our guests. In January we held our first wedding Expo in several years, and it was a tremendous success. Over 200 people joined us to meet with our preferred vendors and wedding specialists.

Followed shortly after was the Masquerade Ball, whereby masquerade ball by social palates_0196450 guests joined us for an unforgettable evening of dancing, desserts and spectacle. The time and effort our guests put into dressing up surpassed all of our expectations, and with the help of Creative Salem, we ended with an unforgettable night that became the talk of the town for days after. And, in case you are wondering, yes, this will become a new annual tradition with tickets going on sale on November 1, with the event currently slated for January 28, 2017.

Next up was the Salem So Sweet Weekend, whereby the Hawthorne presented local chocolate lovers with a homemade wine-infused truffle that melted everyone’s heart!

This month the Hawthorne is joining once again the Salem Restaurant Week, whereby we are featuring local ingredients such as Salem farmed Rainbow Trout and Liquid Damnation by Deacon Giles on a special menu only available during Restaurant Week. Executive Chef Steve Nelson will be serving a three course meal for $28. Take a look at the menu and make your reservations today, as seating is limited.

Looking ahead, we will be hosting our first Wine & Spirits Week in April, whereby we host 1-hour fun educational sessions of sipping, swirling and swooshing to let you explore products that are local and unique.

As you can see, there is always something to discover at the Hawthorne. We hope to see you soon!
