Boston Artists Ensemble Presents “The Art of the String Quintet”

January 5 @ 8:00 pm

Find out what happens when you add an extra viola! Masterworks by Mozart and Brahms illustrate the evolution of these “symphonies for the living room” — works of explosive power and profound refinement. Mozart’s K.174 was his first viola quintet, written when he was just 17, and the K.515 inspired Schubert to write his own quintet in the same key. Brahms intended his quintet in G to be his last composition though, fortunately, it is not, as we will see in our March concert. nArtists: Peter Zazofsky, Bayla Keyes, violins, Beth Guterman Chu, Jonathan Chu, violas, Jonathan Miller, cello nTickets are $30, $25 senior, and $5 for students with a valid ID. nTickets and subscriptions are available online at BostonArtistsEnsemble.org or at the door (cash, credit card and checks are accepted at the door). nPlease Note: Hamilton Hall is a Registered National Historic Landmark and is not handicap accessible to the performance hall on the second floor.
