Tickets to the Hawthorne Hotel's Halloween Ball, Hawthorne's Lot: Misery Loves Company, on October 26 are available now! The event, introduced in 1990 and hosted by the Hawthorne, features music, interactive experiences, a costume contest, stationed hors d'oeuvres and cash bars on three floors. Dance, people-watch, take selfies in front of our photo backdrops and enjoy being part of the premier bucket-list Halloween event in New England, where the world of Stephen King is recreated.
Our theme this year, Hawthorne's Lot: Misery Loves Company will transport you into the pages of a Stephen King novel, bringing his iconic characters – and scenes - to life.

Don’t let the high demand for rooms in October deter you from visiting Salem during Haunted Happenings. If you are able to visit during the week, you will find greater room availability and shorter wait times at popular local attractions. We do recommend booking directly with our front desk team as they can suggest the most appropriate room type for your needs. Please note: all stays for September or October 2024 require a one-night non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Although our Ball package is sold out, we do have availability over Halloween. Think about checking off "experience Halloween in Salem" from your bucket list!
